Randel Cole: Writer/Director

Mr. Cole has been writing, directing and producing motion pictures and videotapes for over twenty-five years. After graduating from the film program at Boston University, he enlisted in the Peace Corps as a cinematographer. Upon his return from Africa, he taught filmmaking at Emerson College and he earned his masters degree in television production. In 1981, he became a partner in the film and video production company, Rampion Visual Productions, in Boston where he produced and directed syndicated television programs, documentaries and over one hundred commercials and corporate marketing films. In 1991, he was elected president of the New England Producers Association. In 1996, Randel sold his interests in the company and returned to New York to concentrate on theatrical motion pictures and play development. In 1999, he was selected for the American Film Institute's Advanced Summer Writing Program.

Mr. Cole's work has been the recipient of numerous awards, including a student television award from the National Academy of Arts & Sciences, A silver and bronze apple, a Monitor Award, a creative excellence award, and a silver medallion from the International Film and Television Festival of New York.
